Arteta on increased competition after Raya arrival

Arsenal head into the first break of the 2024/25 campaign unbeaten, but still have a long way to go if they are to snatch the Premier League title away from reigning champions Manchester City. 2-0 victories over Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa before a controversial 1-1 draw to Brighton & Hove Albion marked the Gunners' opening three fixtures, while a trip to neighbouring rivals Tottenham Hotspur awaits them once the club season resumes. England kick off the post-Gareth Southgate era with two Nations League games against the Republic of Ireland and Finland, and interim boss Lee Carsley has selected Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice in his first squad. The Three Lions head to Dublin for their opening group game after being relegated to League B, and after that clash against the nation Carsley represented as a player, they return to Wembley for a meeting with the Finns three days later.  IMAGE CAPTURE BY AFCNEWS Whether you thought Declan Rice's sending off against Brigh...
