12 Gunners have been selected for their countries during the first international break of the 2024/25 campaign, including Jurrien Timber who has received a recall to the Netherlands squad.

Having been absent from the Oranje set-up due to his ACL injury sustained at the start of last season, Jurrien has been included in Ronald Koeman’s selection for the Euro 2024 semi-finalists' upcoming matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany as the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League gets underway.

He will look to add to his 15 cap haul in Eindhoven when the Dutch kick off their campaign against Bosnia, and then he could be in line to face teammate Kai Havertz when old foes Holland and Germany meet in Amsterdam three days later. Kai’s side meanwhile will start their tournament against Hungary in Dusseldorf on Saturday before the game against the Dutch.

England kick off the post-Gareth Southgate era with two Nations League games against the Republic of Ireland and Finland, and interim boss Lee Carsley has selected Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice in his first squad.

The Three Lions head to Dublin for their opening group game after being relegated to League B, and after that clash against the nation Carsley represented as a player, they return to Wembley for a meeting with the Finns three days later.

David Raya will hope to see some gametime for Spain after being included in the Euro 2024 champions’ squad for their matches with Serbia and Switzerland with first-choice keeper Unai Simon injured, while William Saliba’s France face tough games against Italy and Belgium. The former will see him compete with Riccardo Calafiori, who will also play Israel.

Martin Odegaard’s Norway have matches against Kazakstan and Austria, while Jakub Kiwior’s Poland tackle Scotland and Croatia. Oleksandr Zinchenko will skipper Ukraine once again when they face Albania and Czech Republic,

There’s more than Nations League matches to look forward to though, as Gabriel has been selected for Brazil once again as they look to get their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign back on track with matches against Ecuador and Paraguay.

The Selecao have taken seven points from their first six games and currently occupy the final automatic qualifying spot, either side of their next two opponents.

Meanwhile in Africa, Thomas Partey’s Ghana get their 2025 AFCON qualifiers underway with a pair of fixtures against Angola and Niger.
